Filling the Freezer...

We start back to school in exactly one week...so I decided to spend last week getting everything ready and filling the freezer for a busy fall and winter. I made 10 loaves of rosemary bread... batches of muffins and cookie dough...

10 turkey meals...and a slew of other stuff I forgot to take pictures of!

While I was cranking on the kitchen, hubby made us this for the deck...our last set toppled over in a windstorm and 2 legs broke off. This baby is solid wood and isn't going anywhere!!

Now that the work is done this week is reserved for FUN!! Movies, swimming, bowling, and staying up late are all on the agenda!!

Great Wolf Lodge!

My hubby had to go to Charlotte for a day of irrigation classes this week so we decided to take the kids to Great Wolf Lodge for a mini-vacation before we start back to school in a few weeks. they offer a great homeschool rate that saves you over 50% off the regular rates! We had a blast!

Samuel's Dedication

We had Samuel dedicated this afternoon in a small ceremony at church. We are so blessed to be part of a church that values family and are so thankful God gave us Samuel (and Nathan & Emily) to raise.

Summer Swimming...

It has certainly been a HOT summer this year and we have really been enjoying the swimming pool! Even Samuel loves it...he kicks his feet and has figured out how to splash! Of course now he thinks the bathtub is the same as the pool and I am one soaked mama after his bath!

6 months...

Our sweet boy turned 6 months old on Sunday! The time is flying by so quickly and we are enjoying every minute of him! He is such a blessing to our family!

Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day!!

We love Chick-fil-a...it's definitely our family's favorite fast food restaurant and we look forward to Cow Appreciation Day each year. When you dress up like a cow you get a free meal! Sammy got in on the action this year and Daddy enjoyed his free meal (and not having to dress up himself!)
