Visit with Mimi and Paw Paw!

Dave's Mom and Stepdad came for a visit from Alabama for a few days this week. It was a busy weekend and the kids enjoyed getting to spend some time with them. Here's Nathan and Mimi playing a game of checkers.... Emily showing off her piano skills!

FAIR DAY!!!

It's that time of year again...time for the North Carolina State Fair! We went on Friday this year and spent the whole day there. Here's Nathan petting a baby duck..... Em loved the baby chicks!
The kids really enjoy the "Field of Dreams" exhibit, you travel through collecting fruits and vegetables and sell them in a pretend Famer's Market to earn "fair money".

Em learned how to milk a cow on this trip...Nathan did this last year but she wasn't quite ready to do it then. She was a pro at it, squirted milk everywhere!
"Smithfield the Painting Pig", yes you read that right...he's a pig that paints!

Zoo Field Trip

We took a field trip today to the North Carolina Zoo, it was our first trip there since moving here and we had a blast! This zoo is huge, stretching out for 5 miles! It was truly amazing to see so many of God's amazing creatures in one place!

Crazy Hair Night!!

We had "Crazy Hair Night" at AWANA at church last night, since Dave and I are leaders we got to participate as well! Lots of fun!!!

"Ken's Korny Korn Maze"

On Saturday we had a fall outing to Ken's Corn Maze, the maze stretches more than 2 1/2 miles, you travel through it searching for mailboxes and clues to navigate your way through the maze. We took my Mom and Dad with us and had a great time!It was Chick-Fil-A Day at the maze, the kids got a chance to see the cow and plays some games.

Acres of corn....the tower you see in the background is where they stand and watch for poor lost souls...probably laugh at everyone walking in circles, too....

Fall Day Hike!

There is a nice walking trail that runs behind our house, we decided to take advantage of a beautiful Fall day and go for a hike in the woods. Although Em decided to ride in style...

Nathan decided he was too tired to walk the rest of the way, so he hopped in for a free ride home...

They love this crazy jeep, best $5 we ever spent at a yard sale!

Soccer Season Begins!

The fall Soccer Season is officially underway! Both the kids are playing again this season and having a great time, this is Dave's 5th season coaching and he is enjoying it just as much as the kids are. Here are the first few pics of the season....I'll be sure and add some more later on.
